Overview
Inspired by a piece of concept art I came across on Pinterest, this render imagines an astronaut drifting through space, gazing at Saturn’s rings. The idea evolved into something more personal—a surreal dreamscape of transformation.
Butterflies emerge from the cracks in the astronaut’s helmet, symbolizing rebirth, emotional release, and the beauty of change.
My Role
Created Saturn rings and designed the space environment
Re-textured and enhanced a downloaded astronaut model
Modeled and animated butterflies flying from the helmet
Handled rigging, lighting, rendering, and post-processing
Applied glow and color correction for a dreamy aesthetic
My favorite part was experimenting with light and color—turning a simple idea into something that felt emotional and symbolic.
